Taunton Register Office Wedding Photographer.
The Location.
Taunton register office is located on Corporation street in the centre of town in the old municipal buildings, and here is where many people throughout the year choose to tie the knot and get married. You have probably seen while passing through town many couples stood at the top of the stone steps smiling and waving with family, and this happens all throughout the year. As a local wedding photographer I have photographed easily 30+ weddings here and I have even acted a witness for very small events. In this gallery I wanted to display some images I captured of some awesome couples I have met since 2017. I also shot my first ever wedding here as a guest at my sister’s wedding. More information on the register office in Taunton can be found here on the website. Since getting to know the team here over the years I have since become a recommended supplier.
Some key details about the register office.
The register office itself has two main rooms you can get married in, the downstairs “The Tudor Hall” is the larger room with big stained glass windows. A perfect choice for larger crowds and when the sun is out the light pours in creating a warm glow. From this room you can step right outside afterwards onto the balcony area and enjoy group and confetti photos. The second room “The Vivary Room’ is located upstairs and is for smaller weddings, with seating for up to 38 people. This room is easily accessible with a lift if needed. As a photographer however I will say this room doesn’t let in as much light and can it can be tricky to photograph once inside. There is actually a third room, ‘The Somerset Room’ and this is where couples have the pre-ceremony interviews. The team here are so friendly and accommodating, and I have seen them work amazingly with all the couples that marry here.
What to expect from Whoisbenjamin on the day.
When getting married here and needing a wedding photographer in reality you will only need about 1.5hrs. This is what most of the couples I have worked with have found satisfactory. This allows me to arrive 20 minutes before the ceremony and capture all the guests and yourselves arriving. Some of these moments can be the best and lead into the photos of the service. Also in this time the ceremony is photographed and also afterwards outside with group photos and confetti. At the front of the building, wedding vehicles have no problem parking and this also great for a photo opportunity. Some weddings can go a little quicker due to how smooth the register office runs, with any spare time remaining there are some nice spots nearby to take couples for extra photos alone. In a gallery of photos taken on here couples receive at least 150 photos.
