35mm Film -What makes it so unique?
In this day and age with digital cameras being so able to take thousands of photos in a matter minutes, we can under appreciate what was taken also become overloaded with choice. Shooting film is unique in the sense that each moment captured is valued more, with only 36 photos on a roll every shot becomes unique. Once the photo is taken and then developed, you are left with the result of light and a chemical reaction. The film stock itself produces the colour's and the grain, meaning there is minimal editing. Film can then be scanned and turned into a digital photo using a software.
Along side photographing digital at a wedding I can shoot film in colour and black and white, as this is offered in my wedding packages. The photos can be added to your digital wedding album, or I can send them to you as a separate download. Although I do develop my own film as seen here in my personal gallery, wedding photos will be sent off to a lab where they are developed and scanned by film experts.
For 35mm wedding photography I shoot on Nikon F3, Nikon F100 and Yashica T3, using films such as Kodak Portra & Kodak Gold.
