I shoot Nikon & Fuji FinePix

As a photographer, I will always declare that at heart I am a Nikon shooter. It’s where my journey began, and that connection has never really left me. I still vividly remember the day I walked into a camera shop and bought my very first Nikon D3200 with the kit lens — a moment that marked the true start of everything for me. It’s one of those memories that sticks, because it wasn’t just about buying a camera, it was about committing to a craft.

Why Nikon? In many ways, it goes back even further than that first purchase. My grandad was a keen photographer in his spare time, and growing up I remember seeing that familiar Nikon name throughout his collection. Even before I fully understood photography, that brand carried a sense of heritage and trust for me, and it naturally became part of my own path.

Over the last decade as a photographer, my Nikon collection has grown alongside my experience. From the Nikon Z6 to the incredibly capable Nikon D850, and the truly legendary Nikon D700 — a camera I value so much that I own two — each body represents a different chapter of my development and the type of work I love to create. These cameras have been with me through countless shoots, learning curves, and milestones, and they’ve helped shape the way I see and capture the world.

More recently, I’ve ventured into another brand and added a Fuji X100F to my kit. It’s the perfect companion when I’m out shooting film. Fuji is well known for its beautiful colour science and iconic retro aesthetic, and this camera delivers exactly that. It’s ideal for those moments when I’m shooting on the fly, when I’ve run out of film, or when the light drops too low. Compact, discreet, and incredibly capable, it allows me to keep creating without interruption while still maintaining a look and feel that complements my film work.
